Armored Saint "La Raza" review on Maximum Threshold Radio by Domonic R

ARMORED SAINT - "LA RAZA"

My take on it.

It took a few listens to get the vibe of this one but it didn't take long for it to seek into my veins and overpower me. Wow, from the powerful vocals of John Bush this CD holds up and definitely should go down as a classic. Jeff Duncan's guitar riffage is uncanny and definitely keeps a masterful presence in each of the songs. Jeff's other project DC4 is similar in sounding to this Armored Saint album but doesn't have the metal presence as this "La Raza" captures. Don't get me wrong, DC4 is an extremely awesome band with Rowan Robertson throwing down the leads. But Armored Saint is it's own animal and yes this animal is raw and out on the prowl.

My favorite track on this CD is the self title song "La Raza." La Raza have a creepy vibe at first but the riff that travels throughout this song is worthy of ass kicking anyone nearby when listening to it. I recommend you getting your claws on this release and turn that stereo up when you put this CD in and don't worry which song is first, just crank it and you'll be happy!

Hear an audio review of Armored Saint's "La Raza" right here by Chris of the band erFiq on the Maximum Threshold Radio Show
http://ping.fm/e9hny great! Chris gives you a brief rundown of the history of Armored Saint also. Pretty neat.

Want to hear Joey Vera's (Bassist - Armored Saint / Fates Warning) take on this release as well as the whole Armored Saint history you can do so right here. This is the interview that Dan and I conducted with him not too long ago. It is a really thorough interview and sit back and enjoy this one cause its 1 1/2 hours long! Definitely worth it especially if you are a fan.
